Event Services News

Welcome!

posted by TERESA BROWN on 2/28/08 - last edited by TERESA BROWN on 11/14/08

Welcome to the Event Services website!  Event Services serves both university and non-university clients.

Campus Clients

University Event Services (UES) manages the reservation system for all non-instruction related events and meetings on campus that are sponsored by the university.  We provide fee-for-service event coordination for the university community as well as guide registered student organizations through the event planning process.  To reserve campus facilities, please click on the "Submit a Reservation Requests/Print Facility Permits" link from the menu on the left and then select "Reservation Request Form".  NOTE:  all student sponsored events require this form be submitted in person to our office.   Questions?  Call (530) 752-2813.

Off-Campus Clients

The Conference and Event Services (CES) unit provides full service event planning and registration services.  We work primarily with off-campus groups requesting to hold programs on the UC Davis campus, but we also provide services for on-campus clients who need assistance with event planning and/or registration services.

If you would like to meet with us to discuss your program needs, please contact Lara Westergaard at (530) 752-2675, or via e-mail lwestergaard@ucdavis.edu.  When making an inquiry, please provide the following information:

1)  The title and type of event
2)  The location(s) of interest (if applicable)
3)  The expected attendance
4)  Specific dates
5)  Event time

We look forward to working with you to make your event a success!

Reservation Policy Update

posted by TERESA BROWN on 9/11/08 - last edited by BRANDON EDWARDS on 9/8/09

Beginning September 1, 2008, CES will require that all reservation requests made by campus departments,  campus interest groups, and ASUCD include a university (DaFis) account to recharge/bill for all event related expenses.  Student organizations will need to adhere to the policy as of November 1, 2008.  This policy applies to “free” or non-paid spaces as well as rooms that have a rental fee. There have been numerous issues with charges incurred in “free” space that includes, but is not limited to, additional cleaning, AV equipment requests, and lost or damaged equipment.
